Pazia Jones is a local Mississippi Christian University graduate, where she received her Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Math. She also studied abroad in Taiwan for a Mandarin Intensive Program. Pazia has been teaching math and science for the past 2 years at a private school in Clinton. She and her husband Jonathan have a dog, Maisy, and a baby on the way! They are members at Parkway Baptist Church. In her free time, Pazia enjoys art, going for walks, and baking. She is excited to get to know and invest in the students at Paideia!

Amanda Kisner has called the Jackson area home with her family since 2004. She and her husband, John, live just outside Gluckstadt and have homeschooled their five children since 2011. They attend Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Ridgeland, and their youngest two children will also be students at Paideia.

Amanda earned a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Secondary Education in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007. After practicing law for several years, she chose to devote herself to homeschooling and Christian education.

In addition to homeschooling, Amanda taught at Jackson Classical Homeschool Program through 2023 and has taught high school Writing, Literature, and History at Magnolia Homeschool Program since 2024. She is excited to join the Paideia faculty and invest in the lives of its students.

Adam McCarty recently graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. He has previously served as a youth pastor and port chaplain. He also served in the Army for eleven years and is currently serving as a chaplain in the Mississippi Army National Guard. Adam has been married to Megan for nin years and serves as a pastoral intern at Grace Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching movies, playing guitar, and going for long runs

Rachel Metcalf and her family settled in Clinton in March 2025. She has four children, whom she has been homeschooling since 2017, in a total of four different states, as her husband Matt’s work in Classical Christian schools has taken them far and wide. All four of her children will be attending Paideia. 

Rachel completed a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in French from Campbell University in 2011. She spent a couple years working in refugee resettlement until having children, when she decided to be a stay at home mom and homemaker. Rachel enjoys road trips with her family, attempting to garden, reading, and walks. She looks forward to learning alongside her young students at Paideia. 

Avery has been in the Jackson area for as long as she can remember. She is a member of Grace Community Church and has been living in Pearl with her family since 2019. 

Avery graduated from Mississippi Christian University in May of 2026 with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. She currently works at a local coffee shop as both a barista and syrup chef and will continue to do so as she begins her art-teaching journey. 

While off the clock, Avery often spends her time completing art commissions or creating art for fun. She also enjoys writing, reading, working out, and tending to her vast array of houseplants.
